School Council

The School Council has representatives from Reception to Y6.  It enables children to share their views and offer suggestions for improvement as well as organise events for charity.

Key highlights during the year include purchasing additional resources for use at play time and organising succesful events for Children in Need and Sports Relief.

Nepalese Earthquake Appeal - 19.6.15

We have spent the day raising money for the people of Nepal who suffered in the earthquake. We donated money to come in our own clothes and we covered a map of Nepal with coins. The School Council have been busy making flags and counting money.

Thank you for your support!

CHILDREN IN NEED

Pupils took part in a sponsored run around the playground and sold homemade cakes to raise money for Children in Need. The School Council arranged for children to come in pyjamas and onesies to make the day more fun!

Each class ran laps of the playground to collect sponsor money whilst other classes cheered them on. The children raised a total of £ 1,011.40

Head teacher, Mrs. Jackson said “The School Council worked very hard to make their ideas a reality. We certainly did ‘do something different’ and it was fantastic to engage the local community, family and friends in sponsoring our pupils. I would like to thank them all for their generous contributions. We had a great day thinking of others and raising money for a good cause”.

SPORTS RELIEF

Pupils  took part in fundraising for Sports Relief 2016. The School Council organised a day of Bucket Ball activities and games in the hall and on the playground so that everybody could take part. The older pupils supported the younger pupils and everyone had a great day. Children and staff came dressed in sporting outfits and a cake sale was held. In total we raised £291.

 Well done everyone!
