Covid -19

Christmas & Covid 19 Update End Nov Start Dec 21

IMPORTANT COVID '19 INFORMATION - 15.11.21

Dear Parents, Carers, Staff & Pupils,

We are currently seeing a surge in Covid cases within school.
Across school we have:
-14 confirmed pupil cases ( the majority in Longshaw class)
- a further 12 pupils across the school awaiting results of a PCR test.
- 3 confirmed staff cases ( 2 teachers).

Please read the attached letter from Public Health/ DfE for guidance and advice.
Please continue to test using Lateral Flow Tests or seek a PCR test if you or your child develop symptoms.

We will be implementing our 'Stepping Up' procedures in school to try to limit the spread and ask you to support us in this. This may mean that some activities & events in school are temporarily suspended.

Teachers will be sending work via email to pupils who are currently self isolating. Please only complete this if well enough. Packs will be available for collection if you prefer. Please contact the school office.

Please continue to check the app for updates, also on the school website under the Covid'19 tab.

Take care all,
Mrs Jackson

We are working with The Derbyshire Health Protection Team on the following Escalation Plan as we have met out Thresholds.

During Lockdowns, please view the daily work for each class by visiting the Children tab, then navigating to the Classes. Select the class you wish to see.

You can also check out our Useful Websites page also under the Children tab.

On our Physical Activity, Mental Health & Wellbeing tab under the Children tab, you will find lots of health and exercise challenges along with outdoor activities to do during lock down.

We try to provide a broad and balanced daily timetable to reflect the teaching and learning in school either via work uploaded to the website, links to online learning, video clips and live teaching from the class teacher via  your Teams link. Instructions/ support can be found in the letter at the bottom of this page.

We will be uploading assignments on Teams, emailing them to you or providing a hard copy on request. Please see our Remote Education Plan that is constantly under review in line with the changing DfE guidance. This can be found on our Remote Learning Page under the Children/Classes Tab.
