Snow Day Activities for Mam Tor Class 10.3.23
Literacy
We started planning an extra scene for our Viking Play yesterday so perhaps you could try to write some more ideas for that...
Your ideas could be: 'In the Viking Village' or ' the family on a longboat travelling to England' We will be continuing with this next week so any planning done today would be helpful for you to do.
Remember that plays have stage directions, character names in the margin, sometimes a narrator BUT don't use speech marks.
Perhaps you could write an acrostic poem, 'A snowy day' use lots of description and adjectives and add some illustrations. I will look forward to reading some of them next week!
Maths
Try improving your tables on Times Table Rockstars, or use Top Marks, 'Hit the Button' . We have been working on fractions so maybe you could work out these improper fractions and turn them into mixed number fractions.
If you can draw some improper fractions on paper and change them into mixed number fractions like we did yesterday that would be good.
PE
If it is safe to do so and you have appropriate clothing, be energetic and have fun in the snow.
Art/DT
Make a sketch from your window or create a model or structure from the snow outside if you are able to.
