Welcome to Hathersage St Michael's!
I am delighted to welcome you to our remarkable school! Our school is a happy and welcoming place where pupils feels safe, valued and excited to learn. I hope the website gives you some insight into the ambitious aims we have for all of our pupils.
Every child is at the heart of all we do at St Michael's. Our staff, governors, parents and friends work together to ensure that every child thrives, to allow them to live life in all its fullness.
We are situated in the beautiful village of Hathersage and are lucky enough to have extensive grounds which include a large school field, a nature garden, a forest school, timber trails and playgrounds. We are close to Sheffield and large towns and we have pupils join us from far and wide. Many of our children start their journey with us in our outstanding Nursery and it's such a pleasure to see how their curiosity and love for learning continues to grow throughout their time at St Michael's.
We are proud to be a Church of England School. We believe that all of our pupils should be great examples to others and we want all of our children to 'go and do likewise'. Many of our pupils are of different faiths or no faiths and we welcome all equally. We teach Christian values and we focus on our Golden Values of: hope, freindship, respect, honesty, perseverance and forgiveness.
I am extremely proud of our remarkable school and of the achievements of our wonderful pupils. There is, of course, no substitute for first hand experience, so please look at our Admissions page for times of school tours or contact us if you would like to arrange an informal 1-1 visit - you will be most welcome.
