Business Services Assistant – Derbyshire County Council

Grade 4, pro rata (£11.79 / hr)

Permanent Position: 1.28 hrs per week to commence September 2024

The Governing Board of Hathersage St Michael’s CE (A) Primary School invites applications for the role of part-time ‘Clerk to Governors’.

The clerk will work closely with the Chair of Governors, Headteacher, other Governors, Local Authority and Diocese to ensure that all administration and monitoring visits for School Governance are appropriately maintained and carried out.

We are looking for an effective and efficient administrator with some experience who will:

• Provide professional advice to the Governing Board on Governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
• Provide effective proactive administrative support to the Governing Board and its committees including preparation and amending of minute taking, convening meetings and agenda setting.
• Ensure the Governing Board is properly constituted and manage all information effectively in accordance with legal requirements in order to support the Governing Board to meet all of its statutory duties.
• Understand and abide by the confidential nature of the role at all times and be conversant with general IT.
