Ladybower Class Reception & Year 1 22-23
Ladybower Class is taught by Mrs Thompson and Mrs Key.
Ladybower Class Activities for Snow Day 10.3.23
Maths
Reception – we have been learning about making 10. You could get 10 Lego bricks and find the different ways of making 10 e.g. 10+0, 9+1, 8+2, 7+3, 6+4 and 5+5.
Y1 – we have been learning about estimating on a number line. Draw an empty number line from 0-20. Ask a grown up to call out a number, where would that number go on the number line? Can you extend and draw an empty number line from 20 to 50 and estimate where larger numbers would go?
Please feel free to log onto your Numbots account.
Practise writing all numbers correctly.
Literacy
Reception - we have been learning about the story Owl Babies this week. Perhaps you could draw a picture of the owls and write some words to describe them.
Y1 – we have been learning about nocturnal animals. Perhaps you could choose one and write a fact file about that animal.
You could also use the snowy weather to draw some lovely pictures and use adjectives to write some descriptive sentences.
Read your book.
PE
If it is safe to do so and you have appropriate clothing, be energetic and have fun in the snow.
PSHE
We are thinking about our strengths and interests in and out of school. Perhaps you could draw a picture of yourself and then list all your different strengths and your interests e.g. kind, caring, helpful, funny, play football, ballet, swimming etc.
Take care and stay safe
